Intervention Overview
This activity is a great way to work on fine motor control by having your patient thread beads onto a string. Challenge your patient with various size beads or sequencing of color, shape, or letter beads! Make some friendship bracelets — our patients have LOVED making a matching bracelet with our facility dog!
Patient Instructions
Patient can be sitting or standing
Thread beads on a string
Dog’s Role
Dog positioned sitting or laying in front of patient
Dog holds onto string while patient threads beads
Note: you may need to tie string onto something (like a rubber grip or handle) for dog to hold
